Western Bowerbird
The western bowerbird has a separated distribution pattern, occurring in Central Australia and the Pilbara region of Western Australia. They forage in shrubs or trees for fruit and are very active on the ground searching for fruit, insects and seeds.
The nest (not the bower) is built in a shrub or tree and is a shallow bowl of twigs, sticks and vines, lined with softer materials. Bowers are quite large avenues of sticks and grass stems. The decorations are mainly white and green and the males spend a lot of time maintaining their collections.
